Ode to My Husband

Because my story would be incomplete without him, He's the missing piece, the melody to my every hymn. When we met, lost souls, seeking life's deeper truth, Our love emerged unexpectedly, undeniable and uncouth.

Our hearts, bold and unapologetic, chose their way, And we, mere passengers, couldn't help but obey. Together, we've traversed a long and winding road, A formidable team, in each other's love, we're bestowed.

My heart aches recalling the days when love like ours was shunned, As if our souls required permission to become as one. He's illuminated my world, his love, a soothing balm, A testament that one person's love can mend and calm.

In my brokenness, he saw beauty, not despair, Our union, a testament that life could be fair. For in my fractured being, love's light found a view, And it was through those cracks that his radiance shone through.

Together, we've crafted a tale of love so profound, In each other's arms, life's joys we've found. He's the reason my story is whole and complete, My partner, my love, my heart's steady beat.
