June 11, 2020

Meet - Fungai Mettler, 29 years old Zimbabwean born inspirational Philanthropist and Corporate Social Entrepreneur.

Fungai holds a Bachelor’s degree in History and International Relations from Midlands State University in Zimbabwe, a Master’s degree in African Studies from the University of Basel in Switzerland, where she was the first Zimbabwean student in the program. In 2021 she will graduate with a Doctorate degree (PhD) in Corporate Social Responsibility from Geneva Business School in Switzerland.

She lost her parents to HIV/AIDS at the tender age of seven and depended on extended family to put her through school. She knows what it means to struggle for food and resources, and this has been her guiding light leading her to serve on the boards of SwiZimAid and Friends of Matibi. These both non-profit organizations aimed at alleviating poverty as well as empowering and equipping young people to take control of their lives.

She currently works in an international pharmaceutical company as the Regional Coordinator for Social Business Innovation for Eastern Europe, Middle East and Africa.
